Summer puppies

We took care of new puppies all summer!

Watching them being born was miraculous.
It was so good for the kids to have something to care for all summer as well.

Easter 2015

LNot sure why I didn't take many pictures, but we had a wonderful weekend. I don't know how much better it gets being with family watching conference on Easter in one of my favorite places, park city.
We had an egg hunt with the ridds, and spent Easter with my mom and sara. Ruby spent it with the millers, and morning sickness:(

Moab:spring 2015

This trip was soo good. Because of the newness of little McKinley we rented a hotel and stayed a couple of nights verses camping. Both are fun but not exactly with a little one:) the first day we surprised Carson and stopped at the dinosaur tracks on Klondike bluffs- he touched them and sat in them and then ran off to look for lizards. I laugh at how excited these kids are to be in moab. It's such a playground for every age.  Then we ate dinner at our fave: the peace tree while listening to some good acoustic live music. Afterwards we made a pit stop at the giant sand pit around dusk to see the bats and play in the sand. The kids screamed when they saw the pool with a waterfall and an arch. That took up the rest of the day.
Day two we rode bikes, I went out first and met the rest at the bar m where outerbike was being held. The kids had a blast on those trails.
After lunch we visited Wes' friend Stewart
Kent and hiked with him to the petroglyphs near spring canyon. He let Morgan pan for gold in some dirt he got from a gold mine while malia played with his daughter. Next time we are going arrowhead hunting with him. Morgan was so excited about all of this.
The third day we explored arches and Klondike bluffs and found a few neat Indian rocks and such. It's sic a beautiful place with a beautiful spirit. Can't wait to go back, McKinley was so good and seemed to enjoy it.

Malia birthday

It's been an unusually dry, warm winter. Though unfortunate for our water needs, we took advantage and had an outdoor party for malia with a huge bounce house. Yea it was huge an they let us keep it all week.
She was so excited and so were the boys and so was I because they were all playing outside.  Julie made her a malificent cake, gramma Ruth came with barbies, and lots of little friends sprinkled the afternoon fun of jumping and barbecuing. Towards the end I made them streamer wands out of dowels hearts and a  cut up plastic table cloth. They loved it and it somehow tied it back to a fairy tale party which is what she had wanted to have. Wes is a master at the BBQ, cooking up chicken tenders and serving with fresh fruits and veggies. It was such a great day for a party in February, May not happen again so I am glad we did it!

And healthy again

I'm happy that my kids have all gotten over their sicknesses. In follow up to my concerns about the vaccines, I have come to the probability that the aluminum in the vaccine is what makes me worry and is most likely causing so many problems in children. It seems to me it is the root cause of most cancers- it is in cigarette smoke, deorderant, some tap water. I've read that a lot of it can be removed through a diet of vegetables particularly cilantro, and whole grain oats and grains. hopefully that is the case. Because I can't do anything about the fact that I have already vaccinated, I can however, feed my kids better. We don't get flu shots just the early immunizations.
I've wondered if certain areas (like the neighborhood I used to live in) have higher doses of aluminum in the water or lower amounts of silica (which helps remove aluminum from the body). I wonder this due to the fact that so many people in that area died from cancer. (One being my best friend). There is a reason this issue is often on my mind.
I think there needs to be more research on the toxicity of aluminum to the body. If I was a dedicated scientist, I would pursue it.

Sicklies

It's been a harsh week on the girls. Both have bad colds. I forgot to space out Mckinley's vaccines and hope that doesn't negatively affect her in any way. Those shots were last Thursday and it seem her cold has worsen to rsv. I don't know what I was thinking, I should have waited till at least spring.  She's Having a hard time with so much coughing. Malia has had a temp of 100 for the last three days. Just wish it didn't affect their sleep so much.  I'm trying to eat healthy to help them heal with spinach cilantro  drinks, vitamin c and chicken soup. It's so hard to see them not getting better as soon as I'd wish.
I also sold my bike this week on the realization i wasn't going to be riding much- I just need something to pull the trailer at this point.
Morgan and Carson continue to do well with school but I find it so wierd that I have to bribe them to play outside. Maybe it's the downside to having too many Legos.
Wes is excited to start a new demolition company and I am getting a logo done for him. We are hashing over a name that sounds best and think that 'demolition company' is pretty basic and does the job. I sometimes wish I had a few art jobs on the side to give me some sort of feeling of variety but I am truly grateful for the blessing of being able to stay home and take care of these special kids. They are all so amazing and it kills me to see them sick. It's 2:00 in the morning and both girls are in my room, coughing, I can't sleep because I worry for them.  I am however, glad for the comfort of the savior and knowing he is watching over us.
